Job summary

Oberto Snacks, Inc. is seeking a Product Inspection Technician for the 2nd shift on our Kent, WA site.

You will provide quality check support to ready-to-eat processing and packaging lines, monitor quality of WIP and finished products, and ensure shipments meet specifications. The role emphasizes strict adherence to GMPs, HACCP, and sanitary practices, with a Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule and a base hourly wage of $19.00 plus $1.00 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Experience with Quality Assurance is required.
• Basic computer literacy (label making).
• Understand GMPs and personal safety rules.
• Familiarity with HACCP and OJT.
• Ability to work with others to achieve goals.
• Ability to use discretion/judgment.
• Ability to read weights and count.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic reading and verbal communication in English and record numbers.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Attention to quality.
• Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct materials and labels meet product specifications.
• Pull samples and perform leak checks, observe bags in the fish tank for leaks.
• Record leaker data and notify supervisors if leaks are found.
• Inspect bags to reduce waste and perform weight or count checks.
• Raise quality concerns to operators and QA as needed.
• Maintain sanitary packaging quality check equipment.
• Record quality data for directed tasks.
• Perform calibration checks on in-line check weighers.
• Conduct verification checks on metal/age less detectors.
• Gather samples for MPR, AW, and PH analyses per procedures.
• Ensure sanitary handling across activities.
• Follow programs to produce safe quality foods meeting requirements.
