Job summary

Oberto Snacks, Inc. in Kent, WA is hiring a Sanitation Technician for the 3rd shift. The role focuses on daily cleaning of raw processing areas and weekly sanitation of finished and packaging areas, with 5 days of 8 hours (10:15pm–6:30am) and occasional overtime.

Starting wage is $20.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential. Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience with large manufacturing equipment; the environment is demanding with heavy lifting and USDA-related

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1-year sanitation with large manufacturing equipment/janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw processing departments and the weekly, Sunday, cleaning of finished processing and packaging departments.
• Meet company and USDA specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time. This may include tasks such as prioritizing, planning, and moving quickly and steadily through sanitation duties.
• Heavy lifting 25lbs. - 50lbs.
• Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers, and hoses.
• Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing.
• Responsible for mixing and dispensing hand sanitizers.
• Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually.
• Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
• Perform lock-out tag-out on machines when working on and cleaning machines.
