Located in beautiful Great Neck, NY.
We are seeking a skilled FSQA Coordinator with experience in food safety or a related field. This junior position will work within the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department at our East Coast Headquarters, with opportunities to grow into a leading role within our expanding team.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily data entry, focusing on document and testing process control.
- Assist with incoming supplier requests and the Private Label approval processes.
- Track and analyze credit memos and vendor deductions in collaboration with Accounts Payable.
- Manage procurement of products needed for laboratory testing.
- Represent the FSQA team during internal product evaluations.
- Collaborate with the document compliance team to update product specifications and SOPs.
Expectations:
- Passion and interest in food safety and quality assurance.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, supporting improvements in document compliance, vendor accountability, and testing processes.
- Support the achievement of FSQA goals.
Experience:
- Background in food safety, restaurant operations, or food manufacturing, with an interest in long-term food safety improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes (GMPs), quality control methods (HACCP, USDA/FDA regulations), and industry best practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
