Description

Are you looking for a challenging position that keeps your clinical knowledge sharp while working from home?

MES is seeking a self-motivated, high-performing RN to join as a Remote Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator.

This is a 100% remote position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, including 2 early days (8:00am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:30pm EST) and 3 late days (12:00pm-8:30pm EST).

The Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator ensures Peer Review case reports are of the highest quality, compliant with client contracts, regulatory standards, and legal mandates.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform quality assurance reviews of peer review reports, correspondences, addendums, and supplemental reviews.
  2. Provide clear, evidence-based rationales supporting recommendations and determinations.
  3. Ensure adherence to client instructions and specifications, and address all questions.
  4. Support reviews with current, reputable clinical citations and references.
  5. Maintain high standards for report content, format, and professionalism.
  6. Verify appropriate board specialty review and accurate documentation.
  7. Confirm reviewer attestation and absence of conflicts of interest.
  8. Ensure provider credentials and signatures are correctly included.
  9. Identify inconsistencies and contact reviewers for clarification or correction.
  10. Assist in resolving customer complaints and quality issues.
  11. Ensure compliance with federal ERISA and state mandates.
  12. Provide insights on quality and compliance to management.
  13. Promote efficient resource utilization.
  14. Participate in educational and training activities.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • RN preferred, with at least two years of clinical or related experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medications, and lab values.
  • Strong math skills and proficiency in typing (minimum 40 WPM).
  • Proficiency with computers and software including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and internet research.
  • Excellent English language skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Reliability and professionalism in appearance and attendance.
