We provide opportunities to work across our national network. dnata catering U.S. is looking for a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to join our Inwood, NY team supporting JFK International Airport.

Key Responsibilities

As a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee a team including a Food Safety and Quality Insurance Supervisor and multiple Technicians. Your primary role is to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality in our catering operations. This includes implementing food safety programs, conducting inspections and audits, supervising staff, and collaborating with suppliers. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, compliant, and quality-driven environment at dnata Catering.

dnata is one of the world's largest air services providers, operating since 1959 across 127 airports in 35 countries, serving over 300 airline customers daily with ground handling, cargo, travel, and catering services.

Essential Functions

1. Implement training programs on GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and other food safety standards.
2. Manage ingredient specifications, supplier audits, labeling, and compliance programs.
3. Lead SQF training and oversee vendor audits.
4. Ensure regulatory compliance and conduct sanitation and safety audits.
5. Maintain documentation for FDA and other standards.
6. Achieve audit goals and uphold corporate policies.
7. Set expectations and ensure staff adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Nutrition, Food Science, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in an SQF environment.
• Motivational leadership skills and excellent communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• HACCP and PCQI certifications required; FDA knowledge preferred.

Physical & Work Environment

Position requires standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Work is indoors with variable noise levels. Punctuality and attention to detail are essential.
