Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Manager, Food Safety Program to lead the local food safety strategy across one to four operating sites in the Laurel, MD area. The role ensures execution of HACCP, FSMA preventive controls, and food safety trainings, while managing recalls, investigations, and regulatory inspections.

The position partners with Operations, EHS, Quality Assurance, Finance, Sales, and HR to drive continuous improvement in KPIs and food safety culture across the network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Distribution Center Food Service Operations or related discipline.
• Experience with HACCP, FSMA, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA/USDA/CFIA regulations and food safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Food Safety Program including HACCP, SOPs and training.
• Manage internal and regulatory audits and correct actions.
• Oversee product recall processes and customer communications related to food safety.
