Job summary

Sysco is seeking a senior food safety leader to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive, risk-based food safety preventive controls program across distribution and production. You will develop, coach, and evaluate Food Safety Program Managers and drive KPI reporting with cross-functional collaboration.

Requires strong expertise in HACCP, regulatory compliance, and leadership; location at Buckhead/New Jersey distribution footprint with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Science, Animal Science, Biology, or related field.
• Five+ years in Food Safety or Quality Assurance roles in distribution, processing, or foodservice.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, microbiology, food safety regulations, and related policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and manage the food safety preventive controls program across Distribution and Produce.
• Oversee policies, procedures, programs, training, and records for the food safety program.
• Coach, train, and evaluate Food Safety Program Managers and staff.
• Collaborate with Regional Food Safety Directors and operations leaders to ensure program adoption.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement.
