Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Manager, Food Safety Program to lead the field-level food safety strategy for 1–4 Operating Sites in Laurel, MD. You will oversee HACCP plans, audits, recalls, and training, ensuring compliance with FDA/USDA/CFIA regulations and customer requirements.

The role requires collaboration with site leaders to drive KPIs and continuous improvement while coordinating with GSC and Regional leadership. This position is based at Sysco’s Laurel operating site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical proficiency in food safety.
• Experience in distribution center food safety operations and audits.
• Knowledge of FDA, USDA, CFIA regulations and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Lead GSC food safety strategies and SOP implementation.
• Manage audits by regulators and third parties; coordinate corrective actions.
• Oversee product recall processes and incident responses.
• Ensure training and verification tasks are completed at sites.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in KPIs.
