Job summary

Neogen Corporation is hiring a Machine Operator I to operate automated machinery in a clean food-safety manufacturing environment. Training on 1st shift precedes a move to 2nd shift, with a Monday–Thursday schedule and 6pm–4:30am hours.

You’ll perform GMP/SOP procedures, equipment maintenance, and participate in process improvements. Ideal candidates have a high school education and at least 1 year in a related operator role.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent; some related training/experience may be required.
• Minimum tenure of 1 year in Machine Operator I before promotion to Machine Operator II.
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO guidelines and SOPs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Uses automated equipment to manufacture, assemble, or move parts/kits/products.
• Inspects parts/kits/products to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains equipment and facilities; performs maintenance as needed.
• Operates, maintains, and calibrates basic equipment.
• Follows GMP, GDP and ISO guidelines in reagent manufacture.
• Participates in product/process improvement and troubleshooting.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas using lean and 5S principles.
• Complies with safety rules and uses PPE as required.
