Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure products meet specifications and standards. You will coordinate with team members, adjust machines for efficiency and quality, and perform daily setup and operation of production equipment.

The role requires basic math, English communication, and the ability to work on foot all shift. Forklift operation may be required; safety PPE is provided and enforced. This position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to company policies and BEST practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Be able to work on feet for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with other personnel to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Adjust production machines to ensure efficiency, quality and accuracy with minimal loss of product.
• Responsible for daily set-up and operation of production machines and operating machines to production standards.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspects equipment on a regular basis.
• Performs basic LIGHT maintenance on the machine. Assists Maintenance Mechanics with troubleshooting activities as needed.
• Maintains accurate inventory of supplies needed to operate the machine.
• May require forklift operation and obtaining a forklift license.
