Job summary

AMPI is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety professional at a Wisconsin facility to lead safety programs, train staff and ensure OSHA compliance across operations. Responsibilities include audits, investigations, waste management and lab equipment calibration while promoting a culture of proactive safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus a bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field; manufacturing safety experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety management, industrial health and safety, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing safety is preferred.
• Ability to administer OSHA-compliant training programs.
• Strong record-keeping and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly support Environmental, Health and Safety at facility by training and enforcing safety programs and policies.
• Manage industrial hygiene programs including medical testing and fit testing.
• Monitor waste inspections and ensure proper disposal records.
• Conduct site EHS inspections and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Promote safety awareness through newsletters, meetings and training.
• Support maintenance, quality assurance and engineering controls for safety.
• Audit facilities and equipment to identify corrective actions.
