Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to strengthen safety, compliance, and high‑performing manufacturing operations. You will develop safety protocols, conduct hazard assessments, and promote a culture of safety across multiple facilities.

The role requires collaboration with management and departmental leaders, training employees on OSHA and EPA standards, leading audits and incident investigations, and supporting emergency response

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in a similar role, particularly within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards (local, state, federal).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support safety messaging across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits to identify and minimize safety hazards in the workplace.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct safety training for employees and management on various safety topics and best practices.
• Deliver training for new hires, annual requirements, and job specific procedures.
• Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage programs such as lockout/tagout, confined space, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, hazard communication, and PIT safety.
• Safety Committee collaboration and lead employee meetings to promote safety awareness.
• Emergency response planning, evacuation protocols, and safety drills.
