Job summary

Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square is seeking a Food Runner/Service Assistant to support our Food & Beverage team in delivering warm hospitality and flawless service in our dining outlets. This full-time role emphasizes guest engagement, timely food presentation, and a polished dining experience within a luxury setting.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with bartenders, servers, and managers, helping to ensure guest satisfaction and a chic, welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible with schedule and able to work AM or PM shifts, weekends required.
• Positive can-do attitude and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with guests and colleagues with a polished demeanor.
• Ability to engage with guests with empathy and professional care.
• Desire to learn and grow in a chic hospitality setting.
• Previous Food & Beverage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Food & Beverage team to ensure quality, presentation, timeliness, and seamless service.
• Engage with guests to create a memorable dining experience with your personality.
• Support the team on the floor, including bartenders, servers, hosts, and managers.
• Anticipate guests' needs and take initiative to ensure satisfaction.
• Help lead operations and address guest feedback when appropriate.

What you will be doing:

• Work with the Food & Beverage team in the heart of the housein ensuring quality of food, food presentation, timeliness of orders, and efficiency of service happens seamlessly. At times, you may be required to work autonomously and will be responsible for resolving any quest issues you encounter.
• Showcasing your unique personality and skills, you will engage with guests to create a memorable dining experience!
• Collaborate with team members on the floor; bartenders, servers, hostess and managers. Provide support for your team members throughout service.
• Exercise good judgment and intuition to anticipate guests’ needs. Take initiative to connect with guests, inquire about their experience, and ensure their satisfaction.
• Be empowered to lead operations and address guest feedback.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Must be flexible with schedule. Able to work AM or PM shift as needed. Weekends a must!
• A positive, can-do attitude and an ability to multi-task in a fast paced, exciting environment while working alongside a diverse group of colleagues
• Skilled in communicating with guests and colleagues with a polished appearance and a poised demeanor

• Previous F&B experience a plus.
