This is an essential role in maintaining a high standard of service and fostering long-term customer relationships.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****:*** Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor and introduce them to the menu.* Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.* Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely and courteous manner.* Ensure that all guest needs are met throughout their dining experience, offering additional items as needed (e.g., refills, condiments).* Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth service and accurate orders.* Check in with guests periodically to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or requests.* Process payments accurately, including cash and credit card transactions.* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables between guests.* Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.* Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.* Assist in opening and closing duties, such as setting up and breaking down dining areas, restocking supplies, and cleaning.* Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure optimal service and guest satisfaction.* Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to management if needed.* Comply with all restaurant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.## Qualifications**REQUIREMENTS:*** Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.* Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in orders and guest requests.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of guests.* Ability to multitask and manage multiple tables or responsibilities at once.* Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and using point-of-sale (POS) systems.* Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.* Ability to handle stress in a busy environment while maintaining a positive attitude.* Must have physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry food trays for extended periods.* Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:* Must be at least 18 years old* Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays* Ability to stand and walk for long periods* Ability to lift trays, plates, and food orders weighing up to 25 pounds, and ability to move quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.We’re pleased to consider applicants who will be physically located in and who will have a local address in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia for the duration of their employment.
