Job summary

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in Vienna, VA is hiring a Bar Attendant to provide nightly beverage service at Wolf Trap HeadQuarters. You will setup and clean the bar, operate POS systems, and assist guests with QR ordering during events.

Must be 21+, able to work weeknights/weekends, and complete Virginia Alcohol Server or ServSafe training within 30 days. Flexible scheduling and on-site shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work quickly and independently.
• Must complete Virginia Alcohol Server Training, ServSafe Training or equivalent within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Nightly setup of the bar including bar stations, preparing fruit/garnishes, filling ice bins, setup of glassware.
• Nightly cleanup of the bar including wiping down and sanitizing all bar surfaces, washing bar utensils and small wares, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash.
• Ensure all leftover items are properly wrapped, stored, or discarded.
• POS operation including taking orders and handling payments.
• Assist patrons with QR codes and QR code ordering.
• Prepare and serve drinks; nightly restocking.
• Wrap and reset silverware; assist with dining room cleanup as needed.
• Turnover of the bar for special events; provide fast and friendly service.
• Report customer service issues to the Manager on Duty; assist with inventories.
• Maintain high sanitation standards per Fairfax County Health Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Nightly setup of the bar including bar stations, preparing fruit/garnishes, filling ice bins, setup of glassware, etc.
• Nightly cleanup of the bar including wiping down and sanitizing all bar surfaces, washing bar utensils and small wares, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, etc.
• Ensure all leftover items are properly wrapped, stored, or discarded
• POS operation including taking orders and handling payments
• Assist patrons with QR codes and QR code ordering
• Prepare and serve drinks
• Nightly restocking
• Wrap and reset silverware
• Assist with cleaning/resetting the dining room as needed
• Turnover of the bar as needed to set up for special events
• Always provide fast and friendly customer service to guests and coworkers
• Report any customer service complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty
• Assist with opening, closing, and monthly inventory counts as assigned
• Follow all Fairfax County Health Department standards. Maintain the highest level of sanitation practices, safe food handling and storage

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly required to walk, stoop, bend and reach with arms
• Lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach, cut, mix, etc.
