Job summary

RMD Group's Rustic Root in San Diego is seeking a Food Runner to join a fast-paced hospitality team. You will aid servers, deliver meals promptly, keep stations clean, and help maintain guest satisfaction throughout service.

The role is part-time and hourly, with tips, offering opportunities to grow within a respected restaurant group dedicated to teamwork and excellence. Training is provided for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant or server assistant experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests quickly and accurately while maintaining presentation and temperature
• Support servers by maintaining clean, organized stations and dining areas
• Greet guests with a positive attitude and assist with basic service needs
• Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain service flow
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including trash removal and sanitation
• Stay knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients
• Assist with stocking supplies such as plates, glassware, napkins, and utensils
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
