Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality at Black Rock Mountain Resort is seeking a Food Runner to support the Food and Beverage team. You will help deliver dishes to tables, communicate with servers and kitchen staff, and assist with table maintenance to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Ideal candidates are energetic, customer-focused, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is available for those new to hospitality. Compensation is competitive for a role in a resort setting.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Positive attitude and genuine desire to provide excellent guest experiences.
• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol or willing to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the correct tables in a timely and accurate manner.
• Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and timing.
• Assist servers with table maintenance including clearing plates, refilling water, and resetting tables.
• Learn and be able to describe menu items to guests when needed.
• Alert servers or management to any guest concerns or special requests.
• Keep service areas, expo stations, and side stations clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Support the team during high volume periods to maintain smooth and efficient service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

The Food Runner plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by ensuring that every dish reaches the right guest quickly, accurately, and at the perfect temperature. This position works closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to keep service flowing smoothly and guests happy. Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a full shift.
• Ability to carry multiple plates and trays, lifting up to 30 to 40 lbs.
• Ability to move quickly and safely through a busy kitchen and dining environment.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures near kitchen equipment.

Compensation

$15.00 per hour

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
