Job summary

The Long Bay Resort in Myrtle Beach is seeking a friendly Food Runner to support servers, clear and reset tables, and ensure guests receive timely and courteous service.

You will help maintain dining area cleanliness, assist with delivering orders, and contribute to a smooth, enjoyable dining experience for all guests during seasonal part-time shifts.

• Deliver food and drinks to guests as needed.

• Maintain dining area by cleaning tables and floors and removing trash.

Job description

Overview

As a Food Runner, you will help create an enjoyable dining experience for our guests by providing excellent customer service, clearing and preparing tables for guests, assisting waitstaff with order delivery, and other related duties.

Responsibilities

Food Runner responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepares dining room for servers by cleaning and clothing tables; setting silverware, condiments, etc.
• Protects establishment by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
• Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to server spills or other needs.
• Assists Servers by delivering food and drink orders as needed.
• Supports wait staff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash container liners, and bus stations.
• Clearing off and preparing for next guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other duties as assigned.
