Job summary

DecoPac, Inc. in Washington state is seeking a Quality Control/QA Technician to conduct pre-operational inspections, in-process testing, and sampling to ensure the highest quality of the production process and finished products.

You will work Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM with a $2 shift differential, perform calibration, maintain records, and support GMP, HACCP, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree highly preferred; minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance in food manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, BRC, FDA and related regulations; certifications desirable.
• Must possess knowledge of Quality Control practices in manufacturing.
• Meticulous attention to detail; well organized and able to apply logic to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality and food safety inspections throughout production areas.
• Perform equipment calibration and calibration checks based on defined schedule.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and monitor sanitation procedures.
• Document inspection results promptly and notify supervisors of issues.
• Audit GMP compliance and report deviations to the QA Supervisor or Manager.
• Report defective machinery, equipment and materials to responsible parties.
• Be a key member of the Food Safety Team and conduct monthly sanitation inspections.
• Assist with QA, R&D and Regulatory projects as needed.
