Home Chef in Bedford Park, IL is seeking a Quality Control Tech for the 1st shift (6:15 AM to 2:45 PM) with Mondays and Tuesdays off to ensure product labeling, portioning, bagging, and shipping meet recipe specifications and quality standards.

The role collaborates with production to perform line-checks, uses QA sheets for accurate portions, and conducts hourly inspections to maintain quality. GMP/SQF compliance and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working in food quality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-line checks of product against recipe specifications and quality standards.
• Labels and portions verification; uses QA sheets to ensure correct amounts.
• Conducts hourly visual inspections of ingredients and final meal bags for accuracy.
• Maintains GMPs and SQF compliance and communicates issues to supervision.
