Job summary

Chestnut Labs is seeking a Quality Control Technician in California to support batch preparation and QA programs. You will test and inspect products at various stages, calibrate lab equipment, and maintain detailed records to ensure food safety and quality standards.

This role requires 1–3 years in food manufacturing or related labs, high school diploma, and preferred post-secondary training in food science. On-site work with strict GMP adherence and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education related to food science or related sciences preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in food manufacturing, laboratory, testing, QA preferred.
• Certification such as Better Processing Certificate may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect products to ensure conformity to standards.
• Test incoming and outgoing products for suitability and compliance.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as directed.
• Maintain lab records and complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Prepare reports of results and communicate findings to the team.
