Job summary

Nuts.com is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate (Food Manufacturing) to monitor food safety and quality policies on the production floor. You’ll help ensure SQF and FDA compliance while supporting operations to maintain audit-ready manufacturing.

You will perform swabbing, product sampling, GMP audits, and assist in investigations and root-cause analyses, with a focus on accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• 2+ years in a food manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Fluent reading/writing/speaking English for safety docs.
• Proficient with Google Docs/Sheets, email, and EQMS.
• Comfort with handheld devices and data entry.
• Able to stand long periods on a busy production floor.
• Flexible to work shifts; Nuts.com operates on a 7-day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Report and document food safety issues immediately.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and release checks.
• Perform swabbing, sampling and other quality testing.
• Conduct GMP audits per 21 CFR 117 and SQF standards.
• Inspect raw materials, WIP, rework and finished products.
• Assist investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Support calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Collaborate with Sanitation on food safety questions.
• Maintain record-keeping programs (SafeFoods/EQMS/TraceGains).
• Enforce safety rules on the production floor.
