Job summary

The YMCA of Southeastern NC is seeking a Food Services Coordinator to assist the Senior Director of Food Services with oversight of CACFP and SFSP sponsorships and related reporting. You will help ensure all eligibility requirements and documentation remain in good standing while growing our food programs.

The role involves coordinating food ordering, inventory, site monitoring, and staff training, with an emphasis on collaboration and program expansion to feed more children.

Qualifications

• One year’s experience with the CACFP and/or SFSP in an administrative capacity.
• At least 21 years of age and/or suitable training for YMCA programs.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire date.
• Three years experience in afterschool and summer camp programs; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Ability to work well with people and a sensitivity to children and families.
• Computer skills with Windows, Excel, Adobe, and Word at an intermediate/advanced level.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation and compliance of CACFP and SFSP sponsorships, including meal counts, claims, applications, training, workshops, and conferences.
• Coordinate food ordering and distribution using enrollment data, update inventory and weekly charts for claiming sites.
• Manage CACFP/SFSP shelf-stable inventory and returns; coordinate delivery or pickup with partners.
• Ensure timely CACFP reporting by verifying attendance and meal-count forms and filing documentation.
• Maintain meal-count sheets, menus, labor sheets, and delivery receipts for CACFP afterschool sites.
• Assist with SFSP rural distribution sites and meal distribution support.
• Support staff development and participate in required meetings; collaborate with site teams.
