The YMCA of Southeastern NC is seeking a Food Services Coordinator to assist the Senior Director of Food Services with oversight of CACFP and SFSP sponsorships and related reporting. You will help ensure all eligibility requirements and documentation remain in good standing while growing our food programs.
The role involves coordinating food ordering, inventory, site monitoring, and staff training, with an emphasis on collaboration and program expansion to feed more children.

Under the direction and guidance of the Senior Director of Food Services and consistent with the mission of the YMCA and policies and guidelines of the YMCA of Southeastern NC, the Food Service Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of Food Services with oversight of the YMCA of SENC’s food programs. The Food Service Coordinator will assist the Senior Director of Food Services to ensure the YMCA is a sponsor for both SFSP and CACFP and have the additional responsibility of ensuring all reporting, documentation, claim submission, and eligibility requirements remain in good standing. As a new position, the Food Service Coordinator will need to have the ability to adapt job responsibilities, oversight, and have a creative vision so that this position can grow in the future as we paint a picture of what it will look like to grow our food programs and the Y’s ability to
help feed more and more children.

Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities. Be able to physically lift and move boxes that may weigh 20+ pounds on a regular basis.
CPR & First Aid – Must be able to complete and maintain certification in CPR and First Aid; able to assist individuals in need until professional help arrives.
Emergency Response – Ability to quickly identify emergency situations (medical, fire, environmental, etc.) and respond appropriately following established procedures.
Incident Management – Required to report all safety incidents and hazards immediately and accurately to supervisors.
