Job summary

The Production Operator at C.H. Guenther & Son assists in safe, efficient food production, operating mixers, ovens, filling and packaging equipment, and maintaining clean production areas.

You will monitor processes, perform quality checks, follow SOPs and GMPs, and participate in safety training while adhering to OSHA guidelines. This role requires teamwork, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility for overtime, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus.
• Experience in food manufacturing or similar production preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment per specifications and ensure proper functioning.
• Set up machinery and monitor operation to maintain smooth production flow.
• Conduct quality checks on materials and finished goods per SOPs and GMPs.
• Follow SOPs and GMPs for assembly, packaging, and labeling; report deviations.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols; wear PPE and participate in safety training.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation; dispose of waste per policies.
• Follow production schedules; monitor output and suggest improvements.
• Maintain production records (logs, batch records, inventory) in Redzone.
• Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and QC; communicate handovers; overtime as needed.
