Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Bridgeton, NJ is seeking a production supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations. You will direct production staff, ensure daily goals are met, and maintain food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred; additional education encouraged.
• Undergraduate degree in related curriculum preferred; relevant certifications may be required.
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• ESL experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English; able to communicate clearly.
• Proficient in supervision, planning, and day-to-day operations management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign work and direct production employees to meet daily goals.
• Monitor milk receiving, standardizing, pasteurization, separating, freezing, filling and packaging operations.
• Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized and functioning; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Promote safety, investigate incidents, and report injuries to HR per rapid reporting standards.
• Administer GMP, food safety, quality policies, and compliance with regulations.
• Oversee production scheduling to meet orders and adjust materials as needed.
• Strive to improve efficiency and control costs through thoughtful leadership.
• Communicate with shifts to maintain positive working relationships and address grievances.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Undergraduate degree preferred

Certification and/or License may be required

Demonstrated leadership aptitude or supervisory experience

ESL experience preferred

Communication (verbal and written)

Interpersonal and teamwork skills

Ability to plan, organize and multitask
