Job summary

Summer Garden Food Manufacturing is seeking a Retort Loader Machine Operator for 1st shift in Boardman, OH. The role requires safe operation of loader equipment, adherence to GMP/SQF procedures, and effective teamwork in a fast-paced food production setting.

You will perform equipment changeovers, maintain sanitary work areas, and support quality control measures while following OSHA and internal safety rules. In-house forklift certification will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Read and write English fluently; basic math and reading.
• Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in hot/cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and changeover loader equipment in the retort work area.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and store cages safely.
• Perform preventative maintenance and adjust equipment as needed.
• Complete paperwork and touchscreen entries accurately.
• Train temporary workers and supervise rework tasks as directed.
