Job summary

Batchline Solutions in Westampton, NJ is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to source ingredients, packaging, and supplies, coordinating with NJ and CA facilities to align with production schedules and quality standards.

You will negotiate with suppliers, place and track orders, maintain ERP records, and work closely with cross‑functional teams (Operations, R&D, QA) while traveling 20–30% to support procurement across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in food labeling compliance and regulatory affairs.
• Strong knowledge of FDA and USDA labeling regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with Procurement Manager to execute purchasing strategies across NJ and CA.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
• Place and manage purchase orders per production schedules, inventory levels, and forecasted needs.
• Monitor open orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving supply delays or quality issues.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement activities in the ERP system.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operations, R&D, and quality assurance teams to ensure purchased products meet specifications and food safety standards.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and supplier consolidation initiatives.
• Stay up to date on market trends, pricing changes, and new product availability.
• Support bi-coastal coordination of raw materials and packaging between NJ and CA locations to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Must travel 20–30% as business needs require.
