Job summary

Batchline Solutions seeks a Purchasing Coordinator for our Morgan Hill facility to source ingredients, packaging, and supplies aligned with production schedules. You will work with vendors and internal teams to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders in the ERP, and identifying cost-saving opportunities, with travel 20–30% across coasts as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in food labeling compliance and regulatory affairs within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong working knowledge of FDA and USDA food labeling regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to execute purchasing strategies across NJ and CA locations.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best quality, price and delivery terms.
• Place and manage purchase orders in line with production schedules and forecasted needs.
• Monitor and track open orders, resolving delays or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain records of purchases and pricing in the ERP system.
• Build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders across departments.
• Coordinate with operations, R&D, and QA to ensure quality and food safety standards.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support supplier consolidation.
• Stay updated on market trends and supplier availability for raw materials and packaging.
• Travel 20-30% as needed to support procurement across coasts.
