Job summary

CHG, in Elk Grove, CA, seeks a Sanitation Technician to maintain cleanliness and compliance with FDA/USDA and HACCP standards. You will sanitize equipment, surfaces, and production areas, and keep accurate records for inspections.

Work with production and QA teams to align sanitation with schedules, pursue continuous improvement, and be available for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; food safety or sanitation certification preferred.
• Experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute thorough cleaning and sanitation procedures according to company protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify sanitation issues and monitor supplies.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards.
• Maintain records of sanitation activities and assist in regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams to coordinate sanitation with schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in sanitation procedures.
• Work overtime and non-standard hours as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
