Job summary

Wald Family Foods in Omaha, NE seeks a Food Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, conveyors, and facility systems to maximize uptime and safety.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and sanitation teams, ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement projects while maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or regulated environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical controls and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on processing equipment, packaging machinery, conveyors, pumps, and utilities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with root-cause analysis.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools; install new equipment and modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records; ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP and GMP.
• Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs; perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
• Monitor HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, and compressed air; participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
