Job summary

The Maintenance Technician supports the smooth operation of production equipment in a food manufacturing environment, performing preventive maintenance on conveyors, mixers, packaging lines, and refrigeration systems while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, document work orders in the CMMS, and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLCs, relays, and drives.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery (conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, refrigeration).
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust equipment to meet production needs and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions; document repairs and parts used.
• Maintain clean, organized production areas; ensure sanitation and food safety compliance (GMP, HACCP, OSHA).
• Record maintenance activities and inventory in CMMS; generate reports as required.
• Collaborate with supervisors, operators, engineering, quality, and safety teams to schedule tasks and implement fixes.
