Job summary

BlueGreen Alliance Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our food manufacturing facility.

You will perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to maximize uptime and reliability, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, food-safe environment. You'll follow safety protocols, diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, maintain spare parts inventory, and collaborate with production, engineering, and planning teams to improve equipment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance preferred.
Experience as maintenance technician in manufacturing, preferably food industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and basic control systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on conveyors, ovens, packaging machines.
Create, maintain, and update records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Maintain organized inventory of spare parts and coordinate with Storeroom clerk and planner to order parts.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance staff to improve equipment reliability.
Assist in safety program development and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
