Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 1st shift to keep equipment running in top condition by following procedures, the master maintenance schedule, and safety practices.

You will assist with production, supervision and product quality as needed, monitor equipment operation, perform regular inspections, and help supervise production personnel when required. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical & electrical maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of VFDs, motors, and electrical systems required.
• Food manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures as set forth in the appropriate SOP, master maintenance schedule, downtime form and work order form.
• Monitor product quality with respect to equipment operation.
• Make sure all inspections are performed on time such as ladders, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, etc.
• Maintain equipment per the master maintenance schedule.
• Perform monthly glass and plastic audit.
• Help with supervision of production personnel when necessary.
