Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep packaging and processing equipment running, follow SOPs, and support production quality. This is a 1st shift role on-site at our facilities.

The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and audits, while assisting supervision when needed. You will contribute to a safe, organized work environment and ensure compliance with food-manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical & Electrical Experience- Required.
• Knowledge of VFDs, motors, electrical- Required.
• On Job Training
• Food Manufacturing Maintenance Experience- Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures as set forth in SOPs, master maintenance schedule, downtime form, and work orders.
• Monitor product quality with respect to equipment operation.
• Perform inspections on ladders, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, etc., on time.
• Maintain equipment per the master maintenance schedule.
• Perform monthly glass and plastic audits.
• Assist supervision of production personnel when necessary.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
