Job summary

C.H. Guenther in Dallas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment and facilities running in a food manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, packaging machinery, refrigeration, and related systems.

You will diagnose issues, perform electrical and mechanical repairs, document work, and support safety and sanitation programs. The role requires strong problem-solving, PLC/SCADA familiarity, and the ability to work with cross-functional

Qualifications

Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLCs, relays and various power systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming and SCADA systems; experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
Strong understanding of electrical systems including motors, drives, and sensors.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery (conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, refrigeration).
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; implement repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the production area and ensure food safety compliance.
Monitor and repair facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to support a safe work environment.
Document maintenance work orders, inspections, and parts replacements in the CMMS.
Coordinate with production supervisors to prioritize tasks and minimize production disruption.
Provide training and technical guidance to staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
