Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. located in Mars Hill, Maine, is seeking a production associate to set up, operate, and disassemble equipment to produce work in process and finished goods. This role rotates between production and sanitation as directed by the plant supervisor.

You will adhere to GMP, perform CCP checks, maintain weights, transfer materials, and follow SQF principles, with safety PPE and a chance to obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years industrial equipment or food manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift/Pallet Jack Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMP during production, sanitation, and handling materials.
• Maintain and adjust equipment to control weights on a per package or case weight basis.
• Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Transfer finished products and raw materials to identified location in the plant/warehouse or on production line.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including wearing PPE as prescribed.
• Perform CCP checks as needed depending on location in the plant and during manufacturing.
• Follow SQF principles pertinent to your position as specified by the SQF Practitioner.
• Report food safety and human safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• All other duties as assigned.
