Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a production associate at our Mars Hill, Maine facility. The role covers set-up, operation, and disassembly of equipment to produce in-process and finished goods, with potential transfer into sanitation as directed by the plant supervisor.

You will work under GMP and SQF guidelines and participate in CCP checks while maintaining a safe working environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of industrial equipment or food manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years industrial equipment or food manufacturing experience required.
• Forklift/Pallet Jack Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GMP during production, sanitation, and handling materials and ingredients.
• Maintain and adjust equipment to control weights on packages or cases.
• Meet production performance requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Transfer finished products and raw materials to designated locations in the plant/warehouse.
• Follow safety requirements and wear PPE as prescribed.
• Perform CCP checks as needed based on location and manufacturing.
• Follow SQF principles pertinent to the position.
• Report food safety and safety concerns to supervisors and QA/Safety staff.
