Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Swedesboro, NJ, seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and enhance machinery used in food manufacturing, focusing on electrical and control systems across hardware and software.

You will document systems, diagnose issues, train Electro-Mechanics, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Occasional offsite work may be required; safety and regulatory compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• High school/military training and practical experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software; preventive maintenance software preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control system design documentation.
• Experience with A/B-Rockwell, Siemens and Mitsubishi projects and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Provide training and coordinate Electro-Mechanical activities across shifts.
• Occasional offsite work to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained per the production schedule.
• Conduct inspections safely while equipment is operational.
• Address repairs during downtime following specifications.
• Work independently or with a mechanic to restore production promptly.
• Follow GMP, safety, and quality control procedures.
• Perform maintenance on process control systems: networks, AC/DC and servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
• Maintain secondary systems (steam, hot/cold water, air, power, refrigeration, HVAC, emissions).
• Keep accurate work records per work orders and backlogs.
• May travel for parts procurement or training.
