Job summary

Kettle Cuisine, LLC. Everett, WA is seeking an Associate Engineer to support the Engineering Project Manager and plant team with engineering activities, equipment improvements, and maintenance reliability initiatives in a food manufacturing setting.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, Safety, and external vendors to help maintain safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while contributing to safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering or related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years engineering, manufacturing, project coordination, or related experience preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience helpful.
• Experience with engineering drawings, equipment documentation, or project schedules is a plus.
• No professional certification required; certifications (EIT, OSHA, Lean Six Sigma, HACCP) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day engineering activities for the Everett plant under the Engineering Project Manager.
• Troubleshoot equipment, process, utility, and facility issues and identify corrective actions.
• Collect and organize equipment data to support engineering decisions.
• Prepare engineering documents, equipment records, layouts, and reports.
• Assist with capital projects, equipment installations, and plant improvements.
• Coordinate site prep, contractor activities, deliveries, and installation work.
• Track tasks, costs, and schedules and communicate status to the PM.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities.
