Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a full-time pantry assistant to support intake, client referrals, and inventory management. The role requires greeting visitors, answering phones, and entering client information into our database.

Strong attention to detail and reliable data entry skills are essential; a valid driver's license may be required for occasional driving duties. Must pass background checks and training as required by The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Administrative skills including data entry, 10-key, filing, and use of standard office equipment.
• Good written and spoken communication; ability to maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors/clients in a friendly manner.
• Answer phone and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Secure and enter necessary client information into database.
• Ensure pantry equipment is stocked and cleaned.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Responsible for sorting and stocking personal care items.
• Serves as a backup for the Social Services Case Worker and assist clients with various needs including, but not limited to intake interviews, Client Referrals, Rent/Utility Assistance and
• This position will serve as a back-up driver for the Feeding America pick up.
• All other duties as assigned.
