Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• One year experience in an office environment.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License and pass TSA MVR check.
• Ability to read and write and use computer database.
• Experience using Word and Excel is a plus.
• Team player, self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Outgoing personality with good communication and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Good organizational skills.
• Commitment to The Salvation Army's mission.

Responsibilities

• Review intake form with clients to determine eligibility.
• Search computer database and update client records.
• Supervise volunteers performing pantry tasks.
• Prepare and transport food boxes based on family size.
• Keep pantry stocked and rotate stock regularly.
• Move and unload food from storage and to the pantry.
• Report rodent/bug problems to maintenance.
• Order food from Foodbank and coordinate transportation.
• Maintain records of food offered and accepted.
• Prepare and submit Food Bank and Operation Food Search reports.
