Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division in Peoria is seeking a Food Pantry Aide to assist the Food Services & Warehouse team in coordinating pantry operations and serving community members.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily pantry tasks, processing intake paperwork, stocking, accepting food donations, maintaining front desk materials, and ensuring compliance with health guidelines in a fast-paced community program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to work cooperatively with others as a team member.
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily assignments with the Lead Food Pantry Specialist.
• Operate and maintain the food pantry and assist clients with groceries and hygiene items.
• Maintain front desk flyers and client-facing materials.
• Complete intake paperwork and data entry into SIMS database.
• Receive and document gifts in kind (GIK).
• Assist with unloading and stocking food donations and deliveries.
