Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division seeks a Peoria-based Food Service & Warehouse Assistant to coordinate daily pantry operations, support distribution of groceries and hygiene items, and maintain intake and records in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with warehouse duties, manage donor records, and ensure safety procedures while serving the community in Peoria. A High School diploma is preferred and flexibility for hours is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others as a team member and serve the community.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily assignments with the Lead Food Pantry Specialist to maintain efficient operations.
• Operate and maintain the food pantry and assist with crisis grocery/hygiene item support.
• Manage intake paperwork, data entry, and SIMS database documentation.
• Record and track GIK donations and assist with warehouse stocking and deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of client files and work areas.
