Job summary

Freshpack, a custom cheese packaging company, seeks a Project Engineer to lead capital projects from concept through commissioning and startup. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance to deploy new equipment, expand capabilities, and support growth.

The role focuses on guiding projects that improve safety, quality, yield, and overall operational performance within a fast-growing cheese packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline) required
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience managing capital projects, equipment installations, or facility expansions

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through commissioning, including scope, budgets, and timelines
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance to deploy new equipment and processes
• Coordinate vendor management, start-up, and capital project delivery within budget
