Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient material flow and accurate inventory in a meat-processing environment. You will collaborate with Production Scheduling, Logistics, QA, and Warehouse teams to prioritize receiving, track shipments, and resolve issues promptly.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in shipping/logistics, strong organization, and proficiency with ERP systems, with evening or flexible hours as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or meat processing environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound loads to meet production and customer requirements.
• Schedule and confirm shipments with carriers, customers, and logistics teams.
• Prepare and maintain shipping/receiving documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, receiving records).
• Monitor shipment schedules and address delays or transportation issues.
• Prioritize receiving activities based on production needs and lead times.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and perform daily inventory audits.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers on shipment status and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, and resolve transportation issues.
• Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency in shipping/receiving.
