Job summary

Fair Oaks Foods is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to coordinate activities of workers handling picking, receiving, and preparing shipments for national and international routes.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication. You will work with EDI, SAP, and VMS systems, maintain inventory, and ensure safe, timely deliveries in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school, six months to one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Answer all inbound phone calls and emails in timely manner.
• Ensure all trucks arriving at docks have set delivery appointments.
• Provide a weekly shipping and receiving schedule.
• Coordinate work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Communicate with management in the department and/or in the plant to ensure coordination of warehouse activities.
• Receive incoming products and materials.
• Maintain proper inventory levels within the plant for production needs.
• Develop a full understanding of EDI, SAP, and VMS system.
• Ensure SSOPs being completed daily and housekeeping.
