Job summary

Mars is hiring for an Operator at our Illinois site. The role focuses on operating and changing over machinery to meet quality and output targets, while maintaining safety and cleanliness per 5S and HACCP requirements.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (or equivalent); Associates degree preferred, with 2+ years in a food manufacturing setting involving automated processes, PLC/HMI experience, and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate degree, or higher, in an engineering or manufacturing-related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned work area while ensuring quality, safety and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers.
• Follow HACCP and other required sheets correctly.
• Maintain 5S standards, keep area clean and organized.
• Perform cleanouts and changeovers per work instructions.
• Participate in TPM teams.
