Job summary

Mars is seeking an Operator in our Illinois manufacturing site to operate and optimize equipment in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and adherence to 5S and TPM principles while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 2+ years in food manufacturing and hands-on experience with automated processes, PLC/HMI, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a food related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.

Responsibilities

• The primary function is to operate all equipment in the assigned work area while meeting quality, safety and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers.
• Perform changeovers and TPM related activities.
• Maintain proper HACCP and other required documentation and keep the area clean and organized at all times.
