Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Illinois is seeking an Operator to run equipment in a food manufacturing setting. You will ensure quality, safety, and efficiency, perform changeovers, and support TPM initiatives.

Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to follow procedures are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred associates degree and 2+ years in a food manufacturing environment with automated processes and PLC/HMI.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associates degree, or higher, in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in a food related manufacturing environment with automated processes, including PLC/HMI.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in a TPM environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned work area ensuring quality, safety and performance standards.
• Communicate effectively with team leader and peers; follow escalation protocol.
• Fill out HACCP and military sheets correctly.
• Encourage a safe working environment and maintain 5S standards.
• Perform changeovers and cleaning tasks; assist TPM teams.
